Red sander Trees are classified by the Goverment of India as endangered species. Therefore the government has taken stringent decision to implement strict control to prevent over-exploitation of this specis.They have formulated several regulations towards this end. Not allowing any raw logs to be exported is one such restriction.However, value added products made out of legally purchased Red sanders trees from Patta land owners are allowed to be exported.
