Chittoor District in A.P. India and its neighboring districts has worlds largest concentration of Mango processing units. More then a hundred units Within 200 kilometers around chitoor can process 3 million M.T of mangoes every year. This is an unique opportunity for anyone interested in setting up a Mango Peel Pectin manufacturing unit.
MANGO BUTTER PROJECT

WELCOME TO SETUP WORLDS LARGEST MANGO BUTTER PLANT AT CHITTOOR

This industry can supply 40,000 M.T. of dried Mango peel and about 60,000 M.T of dried kernels and 40,000 M.T of dried shells. The dried mango peel (40,000 M.T) and dried shells (40,000 M.T) along with another 1,20,000 M.T. of agro wastes collected from the district can be used to make 2,00,000 M.T. of fuel briquetteswhich has huge market.
The 60,000 M.T of kernels will give 6,000 M.T. of Mango oil / Butter, and 54,000 M.T. of De-Oiled Cake. This DOC can be used as cattle feed or as poultry feed after a simple process to getrid of Tannins.
Income generated will be around 100 Cr from fuel briquettes, 150 cr from Butter and another 20 cr from sale of DOC.

MANGO PECTIN PROJECT

IMPORTANCE OF MANGO PEEL

Mangos contain 7% - 24% peel. Mango peels therefore are an important by-product from Mango pulp industry. At present they have no usage and considered as health hazard. It costs to get rid of it. Ironically,it is potentially a very important raw material. It is a good source of anti-oxidants, polyphenols, anthocyanin and carotenoids. It can be used in nutraceutical and functional foods. In other words Manfo peel is a good source of phenolic compounds and high quality pectin. Grape seeds and green tea are the only important sources of antioxidents till now. Mangopeel if utilized, can be aother source of antioxidants.

MANGO PECTIN

World production of pectin is estimated to be about 1,00,000 M.T. per year and consumption is increasing at about 4% per year. Mango processing industries in Chittoor district can supply enough mangopeel to produce 6000 M.T. of pectin.
Pectin is produced from Citrus peels and other sources till now. Mango peel pectin is comparable in quality and therefore very important additional source to get pectin. Mango peel powder incorporated into soft dough biscuits increased SDF(Soluble Dietary Fibre) content, polyphenols and carotenoids. Mango peels have recently been shown as a favourable source of high quality Dietary Fabre and natural anti-oxidant source due to:
# high starch content     # high cellulose content    # high hemicellulose content    # high lignin content    # high pectin content (56-66 %)    # low lipid content    # Higher overall fibre content     # greater SDF to IDF ratio     # water and fat holding capacity     # lower metabolic energy value     # Phytic acid content     # Bioactive compounds such as flavonoids and carotenoids
FUEL BRIQUETTES PROJECT

FUEL BRIQUETTES ARE ECO-FRIENDLY FUEL. RENEWABLE ENERGY REPLACING COAL,FUEL OIL, FURNACE OIL,AND FIREWOOD

Fuel briquettes are called White Coal. Fuel Briquettes are economical, uniform in moisture, quality, low in ash content, smoke free, easily transported, easily stored, availble throughout the year, and can be made in any size the user wants - from 6 mm - 100 mm dia, and length as required. This can replace coal, furnace oil, Steam coal, and firewood. Since this is obviously renewable energy, the government offers many incentives for manufacturers.

  • 100% Depreciation: The total value of plant and machinery is allowed to be depreciated in the first year
  • Solid fuel briquettes are completely exempted from Excise duty. The Government is also considering exemption in the case of plant and machinery
  • Many states like Madhya Pradesh, Maharastra, Rajasthan, Tamilnadu, Delhi & Pondicherry have exempted solid fuels briquettes from sales tax. Other states are also considering the same and many states are offering sales tax exemption in backward area.
  • No Licenses: The FB industry has been exempted for obtaining any license
  • Income tax Exemption for first five years.
  • The Central and State Government give subsidies
  • Low rate of interest from govt. financial institutions
    USAGES OF FUEL BRIQUETTES

    1. Brick Kilns      2. Furnaces     3. Boilers     4. Heat Source in Industries     5. Hotels and restaurents     6. Home usage for cooking      7. Hostels, Community cooking, Functions etc.,
